We are all made of Star Parts. It's something we share. A common bond. A little Hydrogen, a little Nitrogen, some Oxygen and energy starts to happen. 

Musically, the members of the LA/Seattle band Star Parts share a bond. "We all love indie rock and modern rock but each of us has a secret love of classic rock and it bleeds through" say's singer/guitarist Michael Compton. Compton bonded with drummer Tom Ackerman, Keyboardist Michelle Reeves and Singer/Bassist Jacquie Parsons a little more than a year ago and they have been making beautiful music ever since. "We have Tom who has a lot of experience having been the drummer for Sunday's Best, I've been in a few bands but both Jacquie and Michelle are relative newcomers. We all come from different places but have bonded over the love of music." 

Star Parts has enjoyed a quick ascent in a short time, having already released a well received EP in 2009 followed by a series of great shows in Los Angeles. "Our song Madison & Soho was featured on KROQ's Locals Only and helped us get a KROQ show at the Roxy which was a lot of fun." said Compton. "It was also featured on Delta Airlines Indie Showcase so you could enjoy a little Star Parts at 30,000 feet!" 

The band's new E.P. was recorded at Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, WA with Amanda Barron and Matt Doctor and at Seagrass Studios in Studio City, CA with Brad Wood. The E.P. was produced by Star Parts along with Brad Wood (Sunny Day Real Estate, Liz Phair, Ben Lee). "We hope it connects with people like it has for us. We just try and serve the song the best we can and be true and honest. The rest is up to the universe."
